Let’s make this the best year ever!  \nEveryone Submit! May 5th at midnight is the deadline for entry of up to five images.  \nFor those new to BPG\, the Annual Exhibition is a professionally juried (anonymously juried) photographic art presentation displayed in the Booth Museum’s Borderlands Gallery. The Booth Museum is a world-class art museum affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute. Approximately 40 images will be selected. If selected for the Exhibition\, your image(s) will also be considered for a certificate\, ribbon and monetary award.  \nI hope you will participate in this opportunity! Historically\, images juried in have come from beginners as well as seasoned photographers.  \nThis is a unique opportunity to exercise your skills. DESCRIPTION:OUTING –\nJoin us at Reinhardt University Dance Department to photograph a dance “Dress Rehearsal” on the Reinhardt University (RU) campus in Waleska.\n Tuesday April 23 2024\n5:45 p.m. Please arrive on time\nRSVP to David Lychenheim no later than April 22\nThe Booth Photography Guild has been invited by the Reinhardt University Dance Department to photograph a dance “Dress Rehearsal” on the Reinhardt University (RU) campus in Waleska. \nThere will be a variety of dance styles to photograph. The performance will consist of mainly contemporary dance but there will also be some other dance styles such as tap\, character and Jazz. There will be some large dance groups but mainly smaller groups. This is your opportunity to experiment photographing live on-stage dancers. Be prepared for low light conditions.  \nDate: Tuesday April 23 2024  \nArrival time: 5:45pm Please arrive on time \nMeeting Location: “University Theatre” on the Reinhardt University campus in Waleska. Please arrive at the front door to the theater (stand-alone building) on time so we can enter as a group. \nNo flash permitted.  Note: The director has requested that we minimize movement during performances so that the dancers can stay focused. \nDance Styles: Mostly contemporary but some tap\, character and Jazz.  \nDirections: The University entrance is at the junction of Reinhardt College Parkway and Baxter Drive in Waleska.  If you drive in the main RU entrance\, drive straight back and you’ll see a sign to the left pointing you to the University Theatre. DESCRIPTION:Submit 1-2 images for Review \nAn opportunity to submit digital images for a group review and constructive criticism from fellow Photography Guild members.  Reviews are conducted 10:00 AM till Noon most Saturdays excluding the second Saturday (monthly speaker meeting) and holidays. \n\nSubmit 1 or 2 images to discuss with the group via Zoom. All BPG members are invited to participate or to observe. 1st time guests are welcome.\n\n\nDave or Dennis Chambers will lead the session.\n\nSpecific Instructions relative to the zoom link and file transfer instructions are provided weekly via the Constant Contact notifications. \n
