SUMMARY:BPG Exhibition - Mentoring Sessions
DESCRIPTION:April 3\, 2026 \nThe call for entries launches in March with the deadline for submission of digital images May 2\, 2026. The Exhibition is the perfect culmination of a year of learning\, mentoring\, Zoom critiques\, outings\, shows\, and much more. Mentoring sessions are the perfect opportunity to get help narrowing down images to enter\, and for gaining some insight into ways to improve images. Set your appointment time and enjoy a Zoom session with a panel of BPG members. \nAbout The Exhibition \nThe Booth Museum hosts an Exhibition of approximately 40 BPG member images on public display each Fall (mid August to mid November). The Exhibition consists of museum quality framed photographs hung in the Booth Museum’s Borderlands Gallery. \nThe Exhibition follows strict criteria. Images are juried into the Exhibition via digital submissions of up to five images per photographer. There are no photo categories. Composite photographs are welcome. Two experienced non-member judges anonymously jury/judge entries and choose winners who earn cash\, ribbons\, and certificates. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn the spirit of learning\, Exhibition-focused mentoring sessions help members narrow down entries and provide insight into ways to improve images for best success. \nTo celebrate the Exhibition’s opening\, a reception is held in the Booth Museum\, followed by an Awards Ceremony in the Bergman Theatre\, where winners are announced. Judges provide commentary on winning images. Additional insight follows late Fall when the judges return and critique select images submitted but not juried into the Exhibition. \n\n

He shares his passion for the industy by spending time as an instructor sharing his expertise with other photographers. As past President of the Professional Photographers of America and Georgia Professional Photographers Association\, Louis has traveled the world and shared his knowledge with photographers. \n The business world recognizes Louis as a top notch photographer\, but children throughout Cartersville refer to him as “The Froggy Man.” No one can quite get children to smile for the camera like Louis can with the help of his frog perched on his head.

SUMMARY:Downtown Gallery Spring Show - Dropoffs of Framed Images
DESCRIPTION: \n\nApril 28\, 2026 – May 2\, 2026  \nDropoffs for framed show images. \nAbout BPG Shows \nShows are held in Cartersville\, Georgia’s Downtown Gallery. It is operated by the Booth Museum as a retail gallery to showcase photography by the BPG and art by the museum’s Art Guild. Museum BPG Shows are informal with open criteria. Two BPG members or accomplished photographers serve as jurors/judges to choose a maximum of two images per photographer. An opening reception is held on the first Saturday of the Show\, where ribbons are awarded and judges describe the merits of the images. Images juried into the Show must follow the Show guidelines. Creativity is acceptable in the choice of presentation (framed or unframed\, plexiglass\, canvas wraps\, metal\, etc.).
