Monthly Speaker Meetings
Are conducted from 10:00 –12:00 pm at the museum in the Bergman Theatre and via Zoom on the second Saturday of each month, featuring accomplished national and international photographers who live stream from around the United States and the world.
Each meeting is videotaped for members to log in and view at their convenience.

Image Reviews via zoom
There are two opportunities each week to participate in digital image reviews. Participants submit images, which are reviewed by the moderator and fellow participants who provide feedback for learning and improvement. Specific recommendations are made relative to capturing the image and post-processing. These are virtual workshops, which provide a wide cross section of knowledge and learning. Education includes Photoshop editing tools, Lightroom, post-processing, and much more.
Saturday Reviews: 10:00 am – noon (excluding the second Saturday of the month when BPG’s monthly meeting is held).
Thursday Reviews: 7:00 pm. These sessions are typically more basic than the Saturday reviews. Dive into fresh tips, learn software tools, and offer your own comments.

Annual Fall Exhibition
The Fall Exhibition is the event of the year and serves as a culmination of the year’s learning. It complies with museum level display requirements and standards, and the juried photographs are hung in the Booth Western Art Museum from August to November. The endeavor is a world class learning experience and an opportunity to have photography hung in a national museum, which is a Smithsonian affiliate.

Downtown
Gallery Shows
The Booth Museum owns and operates the Cartersville Downtown Gallery, a retail space located on Cartersville’s historic downtown square. Annually, three BPG Shows display work. Awards are given and the images are available for sale. These are popular well-attended events and accompany an opening reception. It is the perfect opportunity for developing photographers to have their work viewed by the public.

“I am delighted to be a member of Booth Photography Guild. I live about 5 hours from Cartersville in Coastal South Carolina, so I am unable to attend meetings in person. However, the ability to participate via Zoom has enabled me to attend many learning sessions and webinars with outstanding presenters. I have even had two images juried into the BPG exhibits at the Booth Museum. I have found the members to be very welcoming, and I certainly look forward to the opportunity to meet them in the future.” — Rebecca B
