Join us on Zoom for a presentation by Randy Van Duinen, where he will explain the process of capturing amazing images using light painting. In this class, you’ll learn how to light paint small tabletop set-ups, large buildings, and even mountains. Randy will also discuss the necessary equipment and guide you on how to use them. The final part of the class is a demonstration of Randy’s post-processing techniques using Adobe Photoshop. If you’re looking to enhance your light painting skills, this is a class you won’t want to miss!

Bio:

Randy planned to become an architect until he picked up his grandfather’s camera, but Randy soon discovered he loved photographing architecture. So shortly after buying his first Olympus OM-1 camera, he took his old VW Bus camper and headed west, where he found his affinity for landscape and travel photography.

His photography has been on the covers and inside national magazines ranging from “Interiors” and “Professional Builder” to the covers of “Professional Photographer” and “Photoshop User.” In addition, his photography is in the permanent collection of the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and he has exhibited his images in many galleries and art shows.

Randy believes in giving back to the photography community and has been an Imaging USA, state and local speaker, and leads his own photography workshops. He hopes his experience and instruction can inspire and help young photographers as they begin their journeys in the photography industry.
