My wife and I just returned from Maasai Mara in Kenya after an 11-day intensive photographic tour in the Maasai Mara bush.
Wow…what a trip we had with twelve-plus hours each day photographing wildlife very “closeup”.
The “Oltepesi Tented Camp” caters specifically to photographers. The guides know how to position the safari trucks for the best photos!! They get you as close as possible to the action. The 10 nights, 11 days’ safari is $5500 USD (does not include International or domestic flights and hotel stays/food prior to tour start) per person double occupancy. I doubt you will find a better price!!
The trip fee covers your camp lodging, food, guide, fees, park transportation and park entrance fees. We will have two Toyota Land Cruisers with 3 photographers in each truck. Only six persons will be taken on this trip. The safari trucks have large openings (no glass windows) and a pop-up roof. Each truck has battery charging equipment. The safari camp is a tented camp with comfortable twin beds and a sink and flush toilet for two people. The camp has its own excellent Chef. The meals were very good and plentiful. Laundry services are available.
About me. I am an experienced traveler who has lived in Germany and the Philippines. I have traveled all over the world. Over the last 12 years I have traveled numerous times to South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and recently to Kenya. The Kenya trip was my 11th trip to Africa. I have organized many small group trips to Africa. I do this to take advantage of group pricing. This is not a business. All monies will go directly to the tour operator. I know the ropes when traveling to Africa.
Tour Summary:
International/Domestic Flights: All flights not included in tour price. Fly internationally into Nairobi (NBO). Nairobi domestic flights to Mara via SafariLink airline. I can help suggest all your flights.

Ground Transportation: Pickup/drop off at Mara airstrip to/from camp included. Fly from Nairobi Wilson Airport to the Mara airstrip.
Nairobi Hotel Stays: Not included in tour price. Suggest staying at Weston Hotel about $120/night. The hotel is across the street from the Wilson Airport which takes us from Nairobi to Maasai Mara airstrip.
Camp Lodging: Tented camp with double occupancy included. Single room supplement $70/night additional.
Also Included: Full board, guide fees and park entrance fees
Trip Fees/Deposits: $5500 USD per person double occupancy. Deposits of $2000 USD per person are non-refundable and are due March 1 2024. Final balances are due June 1 2024.
