Yes; a large gallery is curated by the museum’s Photography Curator featuring imagery by some of America’s greatest photographers of American landscapes, history and culture through fine art and documentary photography. The gallery depicts the collective memory of the American people, along with images of the American West.

Fall Annual Exhibition.
Entries are judged by respected accomplished Non-Member photographers. Juried entries hang in the Booth Museum for 3 months beginning mid-August.

Yes, our videos are available on the web site in the Resource Library. Since Booth Photography Guild’s primary goal is to promote learning, BPG videotapes most of our Speaker Meetings, Learning Sessions and Saturday morning Zoom Critiques. However, these resources are only available to members. There are three sample videos for non-members to view. If you are curious about joining BPG and all it offers, we hope you will watch the sample videos and/or be our guest at one event.

In the Museum’s Bergman Theatre 10:00 – Noon. Afterwards the members meet for lunch in the museum Cafe.

There are 4 types of monthly meetings/sessions:

Speaker Meeting
2nd Saturday of each month, featuring an accomplished national or international photographer.

Learning Sessions
Saturday afternoon 1:30 – 3:00. Theatre and Zoom

Digital Image Reviews
10:00 – noon on 1st, 3rd and 4th Saturdays via Zoom

Learning/Teaching/Editing sessions
Saturdays 1:30 – 3:00 Zoom

BPG has an academic institution-based approach to the membership fee. Membership in the Guild includes membership in the Booth Museum: $25 for the Guild and Museum membership starting at $75, for a total of $99 per year. This total membership investment entitles BPG members to over 80 classes, learning sessions, national speakers and 140 hours of education annually and the amenities of a 120,000 sq ft facility. The Membership includes programming by a world class art museum which is a Smithsonian affiliate and includes the Picturing America Gallery and a large photography gallery with a full-time photography curator.

All levels of photographers are welcome. The membership ranges from beginners to intermediate to master and to commercial photographers.

No; all subject matter is embraced. Nude photography is not allowed to hang in the museum.

BPG’s priority is to provide a venue of education in the art of photography as part of the basic membership fee. BPG offers the benefits of a full-service photography club, but as a Guild within an organization with a significant commitment to education. BPG focusing on education through classes, lectures, speakers, exhibitions/shows, and mentoring. The BPG does not conduct monthly competitions.
