Each monthly meeting includes an educational speaker presenting topics related to current trends in photography. Potential speakers are carefully selected for their photography expertise and presentation skills. Some of the meetings may include “open critiques” of member’s images, or critiques by the judges of the BPG Fall Exhibition that is displayed in the museum’s Borderlands Gallery.
On the Saturday afternoon of the monthly meeting at 1:15 an After The Meeting educational session is provided in one of the meeting rooms at the museum. These are “workshop” style sessions related to improving photographic skills, post editing and shooting sessions. The shooting sessions have included macro setups and lighting techniques.
BPG’s experienced photographers are also available to help with one-on-one mentoring.
